Review policy
Who can leave a review
Only an investor who reserved a deal through DealSold can review the sourcer, and only once that deal has completed or fallen through for a reason on the sourcer's side. Each reservation can be reviewed once. Sourcers cannot review themselves, and nobody can review a deal they were not part of.
How reviews are published
- Every eligible review is published, positive or negative. We do not hide or reorder reviews to make a sourcer look better.
- A sourcer's rating is worked out from all of their reviews and their completed deals.
- We remove a review only if it contains personal information, abuse or unlawful content, and we keep a record of why.
Incentives
Nobody is paid or rewarded for a review. If that ever changes for a particular review, the review will say so clearly.
Preventing fake reviews
Because only verified parties to a real reservation can review, reviews cannot be posted by people outside a deal. We monitor for unusual patterns, investigate reports, and can suspend accounts that try to manipulate reviews. We follow the Competition and Markets Authority's guidance on fake reviews under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, and we review this policy regularly.
Reporting a review
If you think a review is fake or breaks this policy, report it through the feedback option in the DealSold app.
